Roadmap
Where the project is today, what's being built next, and the long-term plan.
Phase 1 — Research & Foundations ✅
Problem exploration, design principles, and architecture validation. The governance constitution (v0.4.5) was ratified. The two-token model and the protocol's neutrality principles were established.
Phase 2 — Governance Setup ✅
Core governance contracts deployed to Polygon Amoy testnet. LGT and LDBK tokens live. Founding Steward Gnosis Safe created. Executor authority transferred from the deployer wallet to the Safe.
Phase 3 — Core Federation Contracts ✅
Deploying the full federation contract suite to Amoy testnet: RegistryDirectory, EvidenceStore, SpatialUnitRegistry, BAUnitRegistry, RRRRegistry, Federation, and DisputeRecord. Federation proof publication and verification flows go live. The Graph subgraph indexing all on-chain events. Independent security audit before mainnet.
Phase 4 — Registry Template & Service Layer ✅
Full development of the open-source Registry Template — a complete seven-layer land administration system for countries without an existing digital registry. Includes a Tenure Conversion Workflow for converting informal and customary land tenure to formal title. Peru (SUNARP and COFOPRI) is the named pilot reference implementation. Legal Reference Library published. Mirror Mode deployed with first government pilot.
Phase 5 — Full Testnet & Pilots 🔄 Active
All contracts fully functional on Polygon Amoy. PropertyToken module (optional collateral instrument for lenders). Dispute record handling. Oracle integration for stable fee pricing (Pyth Network). Full end-to-end testing of the federation flow from proof publication to cross-registry verification.
Phase 6 — Mainnet Launch
Mainnet deployment on Polygon PoS. Government pilot program (Mirror Mode initial adoption). Full on-chain Aragon DAO activation — governance transitions from the founding steward multi-sig to community LGT voting. Complete LGT distribution across all three allocation buckets.
Long-term vision
After mainnet launch, the Landblock Foundation will be established (subject to DAO vote) to hold the public goods mandate: onboarding services for low-resource countries, Legal Reference Library maintenance, and capacity-building programs.
A Network Intelligence layer is planned to aggregate anonymized patterns across the federation — producing actionable insights that no single registry can generate alone. Cross-chain portability and a formal CoordsApp integration are also on the longer-term roadmap, both requiring ADR and DAO vote before implementation.
