Registry Template
An open-source, government-operated land administration system for countries that need to build a digital registry from the ground up.
What it is
The Landblock Registry Template is a complete land administration platform — not just a blockchain connector. It is designed for countries that don't have an existing digital land registry and need to build one. Governments deploy and operate it themselves. Landblock provides the software, documentation, and onboarding support.
Seven layers
- Governance — policy rules, access control, and registry authority structure
- Business capabilities — the core workflows: intake, registration, search, dispute
- Workflow — configurable process engine for jurisdiction-specific procedures
- Data model — LADM-compliant (ISO 19152) record structure
- Geospatial services — parcel boundary management, OGC-compliant spatial data
- Integration & federation — Landblock federation connector and external API layer
- Security & audit — role-based access, full audit trail, append-only records
Deployment options
- Government self-hosted — your ministry deploys and operates the system on your own infrastructure
- Landblock-hosted — Landblock hosts the system on your behalf under a strict data sovereignty agreement
- DAO-certified partner — a vetted third-party provider hosts and operates the system
All three options include the same data sovereignty protections. No land data is accessible by Landblock beyond what is operationally necessary.
Reference implementation — Peru
The first Registry Template reference implementation is being designed with Peru as the pilot country — specifically SUNARP (the national title registry) for Mirror Mode integration, and COFOPRI (the informal tenure regularization agency) for Tenure Conversion Workflow configuration.
Peru was chosen because it has both a functioning formal registry and a large informal tenure sector — making it a realistic test of the full system, not just the easy parts.
Timeline
The Registry Template is planned for Phase 4 of the Landblock roadmap. If you represent a government that wants to be considered as a pilot partner, contact us now — pilot partnerships inform the design and are prioritized for onboarding support.
